Rocket trams were vehicles that were used in the Rocket Tram System, a public transportation system in Coronet City on the planet Corellia around the time of the Cold War. Rocket trams moved along a system of tracks throughout the city, connecting the various districts. Providing cheap and fast transport to all corners of the city, the 20 meters long rocket tram is easily one of Corellia's most popular services. Corporations viciously compete for advertising space inside the trams.
The system itself and the trains in particular were very complex for Corellians to control and were completely operated by specially designed droids. Some wondered if such a high level of automation was a truly safe, but the only recourse would be reducing the functionality of the entire system.
